New Grant Funding

The company recently received a total of $250,000 in grant funding from the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade’s (OEDIT) Advanced Industries Accelerator Program. The program promotes growth and sustainability in key sectors, like technology, seeking to accelerate commercialization, encourage public-private partnerships, increase access to early-stage capital and create a strong ecosystem that increases Colorado’s global competitiveness. The grant recognizes the potential of the company as well as several key performance milestones.

The team at Serenity is also growing with Kelly Hickey joining founder and CEO Katherine Wells and Rob Pinna, co-founder and VP of engineering, on the leadership team as CFO. Hickey brings more than 25 years of experience as a finance and operations professional spanning from startups to large public companies.  Most recently she was the CFO/COO and co-founder of Silvernest, a roommate matching service designed for 50+ individuals.
